Description
In the context of the European transition to a low-carbon economy and a sustainable energy system, MAT-ET comprises a set of data indicators for evaluation of the EU resilience to potential bottlenecks in the supply chain of key materials required in low-carbon technologies.
A first dataset provides access to an interactive display on EU material demands up to 2030. By clicking on a technology-related icon, a new page is opened, which provides information about the EU demand for representative materials specific for this technology, country production, methodology indicators, resilience charts and the overall EU resilience score to supply risk of relevant materials. The graph are designed in an interactive way, thus the user can select through different materials, scenarios and years.
Additional datasets provide numerical information of future demand of structural and technology-specific raw materials for low carbon technologies, namely wind turbines and solar PVs, up to 2050.
