This dataset is an output of KIP INCA. Habitat and species maintenance as ecosystem service is defined as the presence of suitable ecological condition -usually habitats- and of species that people value. The biophysical assessment includes the mapping (i) of suitable ecological conditions required to support species populations and (ii) of species hotspots. The spatial relationship between these ecosystem features is used to identify different types of habitat and species maintenance areas that will ultimately be considered for the quantification of the actual flow, that is assessed in monetary terms only.
