Activation reason:
On 22/06/2022, a powerful earthquake with a magnitude of 5.9 struck about 44km from the city of Khost, with a depth of 10km. According to the latest reports, there are hundreds of fatalities and people injured. An unknown number of people remained stuck under rubble and in outlying areas. Tremors were felt in neighbouring Pakistan and Iran. However, there were no immediate reports of damage or casualties in the two countries. The Copernicus EMS Rapid Mapping was requested to provide Grading products.
