Nyiragongo volcano (Democratic Republic of Congo) erupted on 22 May. The volcano last erupted in January 2002 killing 250 people and making 120,000 homeless. The lava is reaching the city of Goma (10 km from the volcano) and the government has launched an evacuation plan.
