Description
The indicator provides robust forecasts of the occurrence of on unusual dry or wet precipitation conditions over the next 3 months. It is computed based on the forecasted Standardized Precipitation Index (SPI-3), derived from the long-range (i.e. seasonal) forecast system (SEAS51) of the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF). This indicator is calculated using a reference period between the year 1981 and 2016. It has a spatial resolution of 1 decimal degree and a temporal resolution of 1 month.
