The Tropical cyclone Debbie made landfall on March 28, 2017 in northeast Australia's Queensland state as a category 4 storm (with wind speeds of 240km/h). Extensive coastal inundation is already occurring and some communities have been evacuated. More intense flooding is expected as the cyclone moves inland.
