Activation reason:
A forest fire started on Saturday, 22.10.2022 noon in Papikio Mountain of Rodopi Regional Unit (Eastern Macedonia and Thrace Region, Greece), burning oak and beech forest. The fire is still out of control and has passed the border with Bulgaria. More than 190 firefighters are operating in the field with the aid of water-bombing aircrafts and helicopters.
