Description
This dataset is an output of KIP INCA.
Global climate regulation as an ecosystem service includes the sequestration of greenhouse gases from the atmosphere by ecosystems.
This dataset reports carbon sequestration by forests and woodland based on reported LULUCF statistics. CO2 uptake by ‘Forest land’ reported by LULUCF inventories represents the actual flow of C sequestration, which was spatially disaggregated to map this ecosystem service. Mapping the actual flow of C sequestration by forest and woodland was done at 1 km x 1 km grid cell size using Dry Matter Productivity (DMP) as proxy.
