After the eruption of the underwater volcano Hunga-Tonga-Hunga-Ha'apai located 65km north of Tonga, a tsunami was triggered and affected several islands in the region. The sky was filled with black ash clouds. Damage following the tsunami has been reported from the capital of Tonga, in other areas the damage assessment is ongoing.
