The JRC-ENERNET dataset was developed in the framework of the JRC Exploratory Research project SIACES (Sectoral Integration Assessment of Complex Energy Systems –31180-2021). This dataset translates energy balance statistics (published by Eurostat) into networks of interconnected activities, where nodes represent activities of supply, transformation, distribution and consumption of energy and edges represent the flow of energy products between those activities. Energy flows are normalized with respect to final energy demand per country and per year.
The current version contains the following countries, for the period 1992-2021: AT, BE, BG, CY, CZ, DE, DK, EE, EL, ES, FI, FR, HR, HU, IE, IS, IT, LT, LU, LV, NL, NO, PL, PT, RO, SE, SI, SK, UK.
