Activation reason:

Emilia Romagna region, Italy, has been hit by a severe mereorological event that caused two severe flooding events within two weeks. In the second event on May the 16th the intense precipitations raised river levels in the southern-eastern area of Emilia-Romagna resulting in the overflowing of almost all the rivers in the area. The emergency has been declared at national level and all components of the Italian Civil Protection System have been activated. The CEMS Risk and Recovery Standard has been activated in order to get an estimation of the overall extension of the flooded areas through P04: Flood delineation and P06: Temporal analyses of occurred flood events  and P13: Ready to print maps and map books for field campaigns.
