The Lieberoser Heide area, at the north of the city of Cottbus, in southern Brandenburg, has been struck by several fires since weeks. The affected regions are located within an old military area and are difficulty reachable due to dumped ammunition. An assessment of the extent of the event is necessary to manage the situation.
