Starting from 19/12/2019, severe storms affected Portugal. Strong winds and heavy rainfall flooded rivers, brought down power lines, uprooted trees and disrupted rail and air travel across the regions. Floods and dike breaches occurred also in Coimbra - Mondego River Basin.
