A 7.0M earthquake (depth 10 km) struck northern Philippines on 27 July at 08:43 Local Time (00:43 UTC). According to the media, one person died and some buildings were damaged. Shaking was centered around Abra Province, a mountainous area in the northern part of the country, and was felt also in the capital Manila.
