Activation reason:

This CEMS Risk and Recovery Standard activation has been requested to provide damage delineation and grading products over an area of interest in the province of Huelva, Andalucìa region, Spain, which was affected by a forest fire event on the 24th July 2021, extinguished only on the 26th July.During the event, forest fires affected the natural areas of Villarrasa. A total of 15 aircrafts and 120 forest firefighters fought against the advance of the flames, which forced the cut-off of the transportation road A-493, which connects the towns of La Palma del Condado and Valverde del Camino (https://sevilla.abc.es/andalucia/huelva/sevi-incendio-forestal-huelva-obliga-desalojar-viviendas-villarrasa-y-corta-carretera-a-493-202107242119_noticia.html). As reported by Infoca, the flames of the forest fire over this area reached the limits of Niebla and La Palma de Condado, affecting a natural area of 865 hectares.
