This collection contains datasets of river flood hazard maps for Europe and the World of different magnitude (from 1-in-10-year to 1-in-500-year return periods). Furthermore, this collection contains a catalogue of satellite-derived flood events across Europe over the period 2015-2024.
The river flood hazard maps have been developed using hydrological and hydrodynamic models, driven by the climatological data of the European and Global Flood Awareness Systems (EFAS and GloFAS) of the Copernicus Emergency Management Service (CEMS). The catalogue of satellite-derived flood events across Europe has been derived using as input data of the Global Flood Monitoring product of CEMS.
