JRC requested an external contractor (Euromonitor International) to assesses the presence of nutritional and ingredients information (list of ingredients and full nutrition declaration/only energy content) on alcoholic beverages across EU MS, divided in 5 categories: Spirits, Beers, Ready-to-Drink products, wine products, and cider/perry. The assessment was done via store checks in the 27 EU Member States during 10 weeks of 2021. Market shares of the products presenting ingredient and nutritional information are also provided for 24 EU Member States.
