LUISAUDP - Population, 2010 - 2050 (JRC LUISA Trend Scenario 2016)2018-12-14T09:43:02Z2024-01-17T12:34:49ZThis indicator sums up populations (total number of inhabitants) issued from LUISA model runs at a specified administrative level.LUISAUDP - NO2 concentration, 2010 - 2050 (JRC LUISA Reference Scenario 2016)2018-12-14T09:43:05Z2024-01-17T12:29:42ZThis indicator measures the annual mean concentrations of NO2 (µg/m3). NO2 is one of the main pollutants emitted by road vehicles, shipping, power generation industry and households. Because of its high impact on human health, the EU Air Quality Directive (2008/50/EC) has set forth legally binding limit values for ground-level concentrations of NO2: the annual mean limit value is set to 40μg/m3. Annual mean concentrations NO2 were calculated using Land Use Regression (LUR) Models. The LUR model was built using annual mean NO2 concentration for 2010 from the monitoring sites included in the AirBase database (dependent variable) and several parameters (independent variables) defined within a Geographic Information System (GIS).LUISAUDP - Average travel distance, 2010 and 2050 (JRC LUISA Reference Scenario 2016)2018-12-14T09:43:06Z2024-01-17T12:29:42ZModelled average travel distances in 2010 and 2050 according to LUISA projections and a spatial interaction model (unit:meters). The results are based on a number of simulation-specific assumptions but are instrumental in informing the relative potential for sustainable urban transport.
