Description
Since 1995, the "European Database for Corrugated Board Life Cycle Studies" is part of an environmental project undertaken by FEFCO (F,d,ration Europ, enne des Fabricants de Carton Ondul,), GO (Groupement Europ,en des Fabricants de Papiers pour Ondul,) and ECO (European Containerboard Organisation). The data are collected and processed by the industry and are available from the industry itself in the form of this report. It is updated at least every 3 years, the last time in 2003. The data in this fifth edition represent the weighted averages of the inputs into and outputs from the production sites per ton net saleable product (paper and corrugated board) from the production sites for the year 2002. Additives that contribute less than 0,5 % of the weight of the net saleable product have not been updated. For these additives the data for 1999 are reported.
Technical Purpose: Corrugated board is a high performance packaging material designed to pack, protect and promote
products.
Geographical Representation: EU-25
