On 20 April 2020 at 07.45 UTC, a fire was reported to the State Fire Service in the Biebrza National Park. The fire rapidly spread in several directions, affecting a difficult-to-access area with a peat ground of 1200 ha. Numerous forces and resources are involved in fire fighting actions. At present, the fire area covers about 2500 ha.
