On 22 February 2020, a fire started on the Island of Gran Canaria, municipality of La Aldea, which is located in the southwest part of the island of Gran Canaria. Because of this fire, two hundred people have been evacuated their homes. Weather conditions with wind speed greater than 90-100 km / h make extinction difficult. It is initially estimated that 300 hectares are affected.
