An earthquake of 6.4M at a depth of 10 km hit Albania on 26 November 2019 at 02:54 UTC. The earthquake's epicentre was approximately 30 km west of the capital city of Tirana between the coastal town of Durrës and Thumane inland. Based on the latest media reports several people have died and hundreds are injured. However, as partially or completely collapsed buildings have been reported, these numbers are likely to rise.
