Activation reason:
Starting on Saturday 17th June 2017 during an intense heatwave and rainless thunderstorms, huge forest fires erupted across Portugal, particularly in Leiria District (Pedrogão Grande, Fire of Pampilhosa) northeast of Lisbon. Many victims are reported and numerous towns and villages evacuated. The road where most people died is EN-236-1 which runs between Pampilhosa da Serra and Castalheira de Pêra.
