Title: EFAS observed precipitation
This layer shows the accumulated amount of precipitation for the current day [in mm] for the extended geographic Europe used in EFAS.
The exact time spans from 06UTC of the specified day until 06UTC of the following day based on interpolated precipitation observations. Hence the update frequency is daily; while the horizontal resolution is 5 km.
This information is produced by the operational suit of EFAS (www.efas.eu) as part of the initial conditions for the hydrological model. It is displayed on the EFAS interface as it provides a good insight into the actual situation on ground.
