Distribution map of Larix decidua (FISE) - deprecated

Collection: JRC-FOREST : JRC Forest Research Activities

Description

Distribution map (raster format: geotiff) of Larix decidua,

computed using the NFIs - EFDAC EForest European dataset of species presence/absence.

The distribution is estimated by means of statistical interpolation (constrained

spatial multi-frequency analysis, C-SMFA) Available years: 2000.

Lineage information

The distribution model relies on statistical interpolation by means of constrained spatial multi-frequency analysis (de Rigo et al. 2012) as implemented by using the Mastrave modelling library (de Rigo, 2012) within the GNU Octave computational environment (Eaton et al., 2008) and the GDAL library (Warmerdam, 2008) within the Python computational environment (van Rossum and Drake, 2009). Forest tree species presence/absence information has been used from the NFIs - EForest dataset of the European Forest Data Center (EFDAC).
