Activation reason:
Tropical Cyclone Dorian is set to make landfall in the northern Bahamas with sustained winds of up to 240 km/h and a storm surge of over 5 metres. Local authorities are reporting that 73,000 residents and 21,000 homes could be affected in Grand Bahama, Abaco island and the surrounding cays. The ERCC has triggered this activation with the aim to provide first estimate products as well as grading maps over the affected areas.
