Carbon Removals and Carbon Farming risk assessment and buffer pool datasets for forests

A European-wide hexagonal grid dataset (35 km resolution) that contains the risk assessment of natural disturbances in forests and the corresponding buffer pool for carbon farming projects under the EU Carbon Removals and Carbon Farming (CRCF) Regulation. The dataset integrates multiple risk indicators, including current species presence, climate suitability projections, and forest natural disturbance regimes, alongside estimates of above-ground biomass loss due to natural disturbance events. Each hexagon contains a combined risk score, future suitability of species, and the associated percentage of carbon credits loss (as forest biomass loss) to be allocated to the buffer pool.
