DigComp, developed by the JRC in collaboration with DG EMPL, is the European digital competence framework, which is widely used to support digital skills/competence policies, education, training and assessment. This collection contains two datasets that support implementation of DigComp. The first dataset is related to DigComp 2.2, the fourth iteration of the framework (2022). The second dataset is related to DigComp 3.0, the fifth iteration of the framework (2025).
1: DigComp 2.2 mapping to ESCO
Excel format. Maps the 21 competences of the DigComp 2.2 to the Skills pillar of the European Skills, Competences, Qualifications and Occupations (ESCO) framework, for analysis of skills demand in online job ads (for example, in the European Commission’s Skills-OVATE system). Only ESCO skills which have appeared at least once in Skill-OVATE during the period 2018-2022 are included in the mapping.
2: DigComp 3.0 framework supplement, Excel and JSONLD versions.
Contains the tabular elements of the DigComp 3.0 framework (competence areas, competences, proficiency levels, competence statements, learning outcomes and glossary) in a structured, machine-readable format to enable tailoring, adaptation and interfacing of the DigComp 3.0 framework elements with other systems and information.
