The indicator shows the spatial distribution of CO2 (Carbon dioxide) emissions over Europe. The total emissions for each country are derived from the GAINS model. This is the first version of the dataset (1.0) and it has not been extensively validated yet.

The indicator is defined as the amount of biomass produced from dedicated energy crops over the total surface area. The unit of measurement is thousands of tons per hectare.
