Wildfire in La Palma, Spain (2023-07-15)

Description

On the 15 July 2023 at 01:00 UTC, a wildfire is reported to have affected wildland, urban boundaries and La Caldera Taburiente National Park in the East of La Palma, Spain. More than 500 people have been evacuated. Weather conditions may lead to a dangerous wildfire behaviour in the coming days and hours. Copernicus EMS Rapid Mapping is requested to provide an initial rough estimation, fire extent monitoring and damage assessment emergency mapping
