Activation reason:
Due to the extreme situation in which the Iberian Peninsula finds itself, a fire started on July 18 in Ateca, Zaragoza that has devastated 2000 hectares and with the potential to burn more surface, it is an area with a large amount of fuel and high value ecological. Copernicus EMS rapid mapping is requested to provide a first estimate, delineation with monitoring and qualification products. Currently, the forest fire is active and the weather conditions for the next few hours are extremely unfavorable, which, together with the accumulated drought and the orography of the land, make it predict that the difficulty of extinction will be very high in the next days.
