Event time (UTC): 2021-03-19 23:00:00

New South Wales (Australia) has experienced extreme rainfall resulting in significant flooding in a number of populated areas along the central and northern coastline of the state with significant impacts on property/infrastructure. Flood Evacuation Orders for people living in low lying areas in a number of localities have been made. Copernicus EMS has been requested to provide delineation and grading products.

Very heavy rainfall, likely leading to flash flooding, presents a serious risk to the Northern Rivers, Mid North Coast, Hunter, Sydney Metropolitan, Illawarra, and Central Tablelands districts. In some areas, heavy rain and flooding may be life-threatening.
