Activation reason:
A wildfire that started on Thursday 21-07-2022 noon in a rural area in Lyra Dam area near Soufli town of Evros is ongoing, burning pine forest in Dadia Natural Park and threatening Dadia Wildlife Refuge and Dadia Nature reserve zone within the National Park. According to the Hellenic Fire Service operating against the wildfire are 102 firefighters, with 4 ground force groups, 29 vehicles, 6 waterbombing aircrafts, 5 helicopters and municipal water tanks.
