Activation reason:
A wildfire that broke out on 22 August in the forest area of Lagada in Eastern Mani has forced the residents of five communities (Vachos, Germa, Eleochori, Skamnaki and Drosopigi) to evacuate as a precaution. Over 100 firefighters have reportedly been operating in the wider area, with use of 24 fire engines, seven water-dropping aircraft, and eight helicopters.
